We are excited to share a major milestone for both our team and the members US Family Health Plan serves. Sequent Creative has officially launched the redesigned US Family Health Plan website, a modern, accessible, and user friendly platform that strengthens how military families, retirees, and their dependents access health care benefits and support online.
US Family Health Plan is a TRICARE® Prime option available across select United States regions, supporting beneficiaries who deserve clear, reliable access to care. The legacy site served its purpose, but it became clear that the next era of digital patient experience demanded more.
The new platform delivers exactly that, with a cleaner structure, mobile first functionality, and simplified pathways to the information families need most.
Built for Clarity, Support, and Ease of Use
Health care websites can easily become overwhelming, especially when they involve military benefits, eligibility requirements, and enrollment details. Our goal was to remove friction and place support in a primary position.
From plan guidance to provider directories, from onboarding resources to support tools, users can now:
- Find the right information faster
- Understand benefits in clear language
- Access forms, providers, and assistance without barriers
“This project reflects our mission in helping organizations with meaningful impact deliver the best possible digital experience,” said Dean Huntley, Sequent’s Chief Technology Officer. “Military families deserve transparency and confidence when navigating health care. We are proud to support US Family Health Plan with a platform that honors that responsibility.”
Designed for Accessibility and Longevity
The redesign was not only about visual updates. It represented a much larger strategic shift toward building a digital foundation that US Family Health Plan can grow and evolve on for many years. Modern healthcare websites serve as living platforms that must adapt to beneficiary needs, regulatory requirements, and technological standards. This meant laying the groundwork for scalability, flexibility, and long term performance rather than focusing solely on aesthetics.
The new platform introduces several meaningful improvements, including:
- A simplified enrollment and eligibility journey that guides beneficiaries through what can often be a complex process, helping them understand who qualifies, how coverage works, and what steps to take next.
- ADA conscious design and mobile first performance ensuring that users of all abilities and on all devices can access information without barriers, an increasingly important requirement across digital health platforms.
- Quick access tools such as provider search, contact forms, and resource directories that reduce friction and allow users to complete common tasks without unnecessary navigation.
- Enhanced onboarding resources and expanded frequently asked questions that support both new and existing members while reducing the need for phone based assistance.
- A future ready platform designed to support additional digital enhancements, new features, and continuous content updates without requiring a full rebuild in the coming years.
Together, these improvements strengthen both usability and trust, two essential elements in digital health care delivery. When users can quickly find accurate information, complete tasks, and understand their options, confidence in the organization increases. This also reinforces the role of the website as a reliable source of support for military families and retired beneficiaries who depend on timely and accurate healthcare guidance.
A Partnership Anchored in Service
US Family Health Plan leadership remained focused on beneficiaries throughout the redesign process.
“Our members are at the heart of every decision we make,” said Debra Wada, US Family Health Plan Project Manager. “This new website is a significant step forward in helping military families and retirees get the answers and support they need without barriers. We value our partnership with Sequent and are excited about the digital improvements this launch brings.”
From the beginning, the engagement was structured as a long term partnership focused on continuous improvement.
Huntley added, “We approach every engagement as a long term partnership. The US Family Health Plan website is not just a redesigned site, it is a foundation for continued growth and continuous improvements, ensuring members always have a reliable place to turn. We are proud to continue our path together that started in 2016. We are excited to see what another ten years will bring.”
